The winners of “iEARN- colorful Planet-2006” are celebrated

On the 30th June the award ceremony of the competition winners “iEARN-Colorful Planet- 2006” was held by Deer Leap Foundation.

According to the decision made by Competition Committee Grand Prix was won by Tbilisi public schools # 166. The winner team , consisting of Maths teacher-Ketevan Verulashvili and students- Ani Nadareishvili and Ani Gogichaishvili, won participation allowance in the 13th iEARN World Youth Summit, that is taking place in Netherlands (from 3rd to 8th July, 2006). Other winner schools were awarded with diplomas and different kind of prizes.

The competition “iEARN-Colorful Planet-2006” was organized in the frames of Deer Leap Program in cooperation with Georgian experts of International Education and Resource Network (iEARN). 24 public schools took part in the competition from Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Telavi and Sagarejo. The teams of social subjects and sciences were formed inside schools. They enrolled in iEARN and implemented different collaborative projects: My Country, Maths in Our Life, Fight against AIDS, Folk Costumes, Trees Near Us, My Name, Ancestors Photos, World without Tobacco, etc.
